Light Dark Roast | Washed | Arabica Coffee | Very High Elevation

Coffea Arabica, also known as Arabic Coffee, is a species of flowering plant in the coffee and madder family Rubiaceae. It is believed to be the first species of coffee to have been cultivated and is currently the dominant cultivar, representing about 60% of global production.

Wet processed (washed) coffees are dried without the cherry. Washed coffee‘s are de-pulped and then usually fermented to promote. The separation of any remaining pectin still stuck to the bean and parchment, then washed clean prior to drying.

Light roasts tend to have more delicate yet complex flavor profiles than dark roasts. Dark roasts tend to have deep but simple flavors due to some of the initial flavors of the beans being lost or changed during the roasting process. Dark roast is sometimes described as tasting more bitter than light roast.

Very-High-altitude coffees (below 1,530m, or 5,000ft), tend to taste Fruit, Spice, Floral, Berry & Wine.
